- 1-2 years of age: No screen time for a 1-year-old. No more than an hour for 2-year-olds, with less time preferred.
- 3 to 4 years old: No more than 1 hour
- 5 to 10 years old: No more than 2 hours
- 10 to 15 years old: No more than 3 hours

Especially for the age group 6 to 12 year old the first priority is to spend 2 hours outdoor before activating the screen time.
Other screen use recommendations
Taking action is easy and pays off, please consider below when you put children behind a computer:
- The computer screen should be one arm length away. Move the screen, so the child looks slightly downward at the screen.
- Put the device in the position without the screen’s glare.
- Clean the screen. Dirty screens will make eyes strain even more
- Dim the light of the screen or adjust the light in the room to reduce contrast
- Remember and apply the 20-20-2 rule
More information for teachers and parents:
Use the countdown timer, put at 20 minutes, on the screen or slide show or a watch to help students be aware of the time and know when to relax their eyes, take a break and move around.
Instruct the children to apply the 20-20-2 rule based on their age and remind them what they should pay attention to every time they sit at the workstation in front of a digital device.
